Our females are the foundation upon which our stud has grown and ultimately, are responsible for our success.
Our ‘second generation’ foundation breeders have been carefully selected from a range of genetics and purchased exclusively from Droughtmaster Society endorsed sales, and select dispersals of Droughtmaster studs.
A select few of our most respected breeders are showcased here.
Our breeders are naturally mated in three single sire herds. In addition, we conduct an annual artificial insemination (AI) program that enables us to introduce a selection of new and high performing genetics each year.
We have been thrilled with the quality of the females that we have been able to breed. Many have been retained and as our stud expands, we are in a position to share our genetics with other breeders.
Our females have enjoyed success in both the show ring and the sale ring and we are humbled by their performance. In the show ring, they have brought home multiple broad ribbon and interbreed championships at local shows; and broad ribbons at the Droughtmaster Futurity Show; Droughtmaster Feature Show; the Royal Queensland Show; and Beef Australia. And in the sale ring, at the first stud female auction they were offered, topped both the joined and unjoined sections of the sale, and achieved the overall top priced female of the sale.
