NINDETHANA and NINDETHANA JEM will offer six young bulls at the 2022 National Droughtmaster Bull Sale to be held at the Central Queensland Livestock Exchange, Gracemere on 13 & 14 September 2022. The bulls will be offered on Day 2 of the sale (14 September 2021) as Lots 331 to 336.
The sires that are represented in our draft are Glenlands D Winchester, Karragarra Miles, RSVP Lumberjack and Calaanah Abraham.
All bulls have been:

The bulls have been raised in paddocks that mostly comprise gentle slopes, creek and river flats and ticks! They have been worked with bikes and on foot and have had plenty of education working through the yards and handling facilities.
The bulls have been grass fed (native grasses and improved pastures) with access to a mineral supplement and light supplementation with Riverina stock pellets. Following the floods earlier this year, they have had access to a mix of baled Rhodes grass and grassy lucerne.

An AI calf by Glenlands D Winchester (Glenlands Pacific/Ebony Hills Leotard), Maverick embodies so many of his sire’s exemplary features. He has inherited the extraordinary length, scale, and natural muscling of his sire, his stunning head, his impeccable underline, and a topline that is as straight as the horizon. This well-balanced young bull travels with a massive stride that is impressive to watch. To round off this near perfect package, Maverick has a lovely temperament. He is such a pleasure to have in our paddock.
Successfully exhibited, Maverick placed in his class at Beef Australia 2021 (Bull 9 months and under 12 months), and in the handful of shows that we were able to attend during 2022, he was sashed Reserve Senior Champion Tropical Bull at the annual Toogoolawah Show and a few weeks later, placed first in his class at the Droughtmaster Feature Event held at Toogoolawah in June.
Sire: Described by his breeder as an explosive prospect, Glenlands D Winchester was the sale topper at the 2018 Glenlands Sale, selling to Fieldhouse Stud in WA. Winchester’s semen has been used in AI programs on the East Coast and has produced some impressive progeny. In our operation, we have two retained females (Missy and Melanie), three young sires including Maverick (Morrison and Maximillion) offered for sale at the 2022 National Bull Sale, and a yearling bull calf (Nolan).
Dam: Nindethana Iyla (Glenlands Newton/Nindethana Fontine) was a former show heifer that has gone on to produce four calves in four years: a heifer that sold at the Cream of the Crop Female Sale (Kassie), a bull that sold at auction for commercial breeding purposes (Leonardo), Maverick, and a wearer bull.

Morrison was a standout in the paddock from a very early age. An early maturing calf, he is well muscled, thick, deep and well balanced. His underline is impeccable, and he has a topline to match. Quiet temperament. Successfully exhibited.
Dam, High Country Champagne (Billabong Ridley) is a larger framed female that has produced 7 calves in 7 years including a retained female (Henrietta) who was a former Royal Queensland Show Junior Champion and Ag Show Interbreed Champion, a paddock sale bull (Ira), a culled heifer, a bull that sold at the Bunya Bull Sale (Kentucky), Morrison, and a weaner heifer (Nemophillia).

Maximillion caught our eye from the outset. An early maturing calf, Maximillion has inherited the extraordinary length, scale, and natural muscling of Winchester. He is a young bull that strides out with pride and determination.
Dam, Angle Zed Clare (Angle Zed Commandante) was purchased at the Fortus Dispersal Sale with a heifer calf at foot. She is a well fleshed, moderate framed female that has produced 7 calves in the 7 years since purchase, including two retained females (Hannah and Libby), a female sold to Magnolia Farm Stud (Hilary), a bull sold at the Bunya Bull Sale (Jules), a paddock bull (Kingston), Maximillion, and a weaner bull calf.

A heifer’s first calf, Milton is an early maturing, tidy young bull with length, depth, bone and thickness. He has a glistening tropical coat, eye-catching sirey head and a lovely temperment.
Sire, Karragarra Miles (Glenlands Pistol/Karragarra Haldana) was selected for his depth, thickness, bone, a strong polled head, and tidy underline. He is a gentle giant that has maintained his weight, libido and fertility. He has consistently achieved excellent pregnancy rates, low birth weight calves and weighty weaners, during each of his six seasons with Nindethana. His sons have sold to a top of $17,000 and daughters to $12,000.
Dam, Nindethana Jenna (Glenlands Quarry) is a moderate framed female that has produced two calves in two years – Milton, and a weighty weaner bull calf by Rondel Whiskey (Nigel, DOB 27/09/21) who is broken to lead and will join our show team in 2023. Jenna’s third calf is due on 10/10/23 (ultrasound confirmed).

An impressive and powerful young bull that is early maturing and easy doing. The length and thickness of his hindquarter, and width of his topline are to be admired. His lovely sirey head with exceptional hooding is eye catching. He walks out freely and with purpose. His temperament is impeccable!
Sire, RSVP Lumberjack (Billabong Armstrong) was purchased at the DN Sale in 2019. He was a gentle giant that produced a lovely line of heifers, the first of which were sold at the 2021 National Female Sale to a top of $6,000. Mason is one of only a few Lumberjack sons that will be offered for sale.
Dam, Condamine Kandy (Condamine Ivanhoe/Condamine Honey) was a former show heifer in the Condamine stable. Kandy is a reliable breeder that milks well and weans a weighty calf. She has produced five calves in five years including a bull that sold at the National Sale (Jordy), a female that sold for commercial breeding purposes (Kandy), a steer, Mason, and a beautiful weaner heifer (Nigella).

An AI calf by Calaanah Abraham, Dallas has plenty of natural muscle and fleshing, a strong polled head (a hallmark stamp of his sire), a tidy underline and quiet temperament.
Sire: Calaanah Abraham (Billabong Winchester/Billabong Rhianna) was the top priced bull at the 2016 National Bull Sale. He has been successfully used as an AI sire at Nindethana, from which we have retained two heifers (Jessabel and Melba), two bulls that sold at the Scenic Rim Bull and Female Sale (Jean ValJean to Valera Vale Stud and Jurabull to Latrobe), and a third as a paddock bull (Murphy).
Dam, Nindethana Havana (Talgai Chico/Nindethana Emilie) was gifted to Jackson and Emilie (Nindethana JEM) as a weaner. Havana is a moderate framed female that is quiet and easy doing. Havana has had four calves in four years, a bull that sold at the 2020 Bunya Bull Sale (Brooklyn), a heifer that was sold for commercial breeding, Dallas, and a cracking weaner heifer by Glenlands J Bojangles (‘Eden’ a definite keeper for Nindethana JEM).
